You seem to know alot about griefing, are you sure your intentions on this Wiki are pure? http://www.minecraftwiki.net/index.php?title=Bow&diff=4544&oldid=4542 http://www.minecraftwiki.net/index.php?title=User%3ASteGriff&diff=4545&oldid=4543 if that edit on SteGriff was directed to me, great placement! how did you know my age?

[edit] Survival Griefing

Not yet in existence, but, we can predict what the survival griefing community will do before it even happens. I myself was planning on causing problems to other players, but, decided I wanted to be constructive and give everyone my pro-tips on the subject. There are two kinds of survival mode griefing I had planned, One is called defenseless destruction and the other I call filling in the blank.

Defenseless Destruction: Killing the avatar of the creator, leaving their creations unprotected as I pick away at it until the creator returns, which then I kill again and repeat till their entire structure looks like it never existed.

Filling in the blank: I planned on filling in the blank spaces of peoples creation with a lot of dirt. The time it takes for me to get the dirt to complete one job is the time it will take for a player to get rid of my mess. For the griefer, it takes more time to both get and place the dirt then it does for a player to simply delete the dirt, so the kind of griefing is only used to seriously make the creator of a structure very angry.

Epic Griefer: Overstocks it things such as tnt and arrows to go killing other players and destroying creations at peak efficiency. Will ease drop in on others conversations to disrupt the natural flow between players. Will create a small room a room above it with a secret way up, to trap multiple players trying to attack the griefer or thinking the griefer is their friend, and attempt to blow them all up at once.

Pyro's: Burn everything, creation or not. They might even make a giant wooden structure themselves just to burn it. Build everything from anything not burnable to prevent pyro griefers.

Protected Griefer: knows the op and has friends online that know the op, is stuck up, and is willing to lie to get you banned or griefed by everyone. This is something I would never be, ever, cause if a griefer does this in the game, god forbid you meet them in real life. If you meet them in real life, they are the most destructive civilians in existence and you must gather your friends up and make fun of them as a group. If you dads a cop, tell him they have drugs. This griefer is "almost" unbeatable. I have devised a method of defeating this griefer. Step one, when the griefer is not around, make friends with the op quickly and all the ops friends. When the griefer gets online, stay in clear sight of the op. Try to get the op to take interest in you by claiming loyalty. When the griefer begins to lie, you have an excuse why you didn't do what the griefer said you did, because you were in sight of the op or you can claim that you never did that. Most likely the griefer will try to kill you while your around the op. If you succeeded and the op likes you, the griefer will either have to stop, or will keep going to insult the op without realizing it. Normally these griefers lack intelligence and think they are smart. The only way to keep combating with the griefer is to hang around the op in plain sight of the op at all times, if not the griefer will immediately find something to grief and blame you.

Myself Griefing: The most state of the art masterpieces of griefing technology will be at hand to cause the most chaotic epic destruction against all who oppose me as possible. This my friend, is truly the most epic form of griefing in existence. The best defense against this kind of griefer is to kill yourself or grief yourself before I get to you. The only way you can tell if a griefer is using this style of griefing is if you are sitting there staring at your computer still wondering what the heck just happened. If you come in contact with this type of griefer, may God have mercy on your soul.

Griefer Hideouts: A full time griefer doesn't actually have time to build a fancy hideout unless its a cluster of griefers on the server. Multiple griefers working together will build a big hideout, but, single griefers are going to build small almost useless hideouts ware the material inside will only be enough to grief. If these hideouts are spotted, one tnt block will be enough to destroy, but, most likely if a griefer has a chest, which would be ungriefer like of them, then they most likely are storing all their griefer goods inside. griefer goods in the right hands can be very constructive and must be confiscated.-

Annoyances: This form of griefing, is simply doing sneaky, unexpected, or sometimes just random things just to annoy people, or to surprise them. For example, you place an alternate path on a minecart track going off of a cliff, and direct red wire to the track to switch its direction. When something comes riding along, the griefer would hit the switch and cause the rider or his belongings to fall off. Other examples could be taking doors, replacing certain blocks with TNT (such as blocks that have buttons on them), or placing TNT outside of doorways, or even just breaking glass or placing gravel in your chests. This form of griefing could range from joking around like in the case of activating TNT just to have it fall down through a preplaced hole, to the downright sadist such as TNT outside your doors.

Why griefers grief- (note: why know why griefers grief, because if you expect them to care about your work, you will follow the golden rule and care about why they grief.

trolling is sacred

"in lulz we trust"

It ends nicer when a griefer is treated nice then it does when a griefer is rebelled against and both time and work go to waste) -They were previously griefed(Normally a simple acting as if you understand the griefer will solve the problem and stop them, if not, then they are a form of inconsiderate griefer and your arrows must block out the sun)

-They were offended by something you said

-You insulted them (If they are stupid, and you insult them, then you are as stupid as them and deserve to get griefed. Players who insult a stupid person must understand that stupid people can't understand what you just said and would only take things the way they were taught to take things. If someone you thought was stupid rebels against your negative input, then you are in for trouble)

-They have friends online or are friends with the op(This is the worst reason to grief ever. If you are one of these griefers, you should feel remorse. These are called hazers and flamers. They only haze and flame because their friends are around. The best way to deal with them is to ignore them until they are all alone, if they didn't lie about why the ops house got blown up before you get this chance. Play along with them till the op is gone and their friends. Grief the ever loving heck out of them immediately. You might only get one chance to do this.)

Spawn Grief- Will find out your spawn and dig a giant pit under it so you fall to your death into lava over and over again.

[edit] To provide for the common defense.

Anyone know anything about this one server I was on? It was hacked and the griefer unopped EVERYONE including the owner, then he made the server look like... something awful. Can anyone explain?

[edit] Some Methods of Dealing and/or Preventing Griefers

As put abouve people grief for many reasons, rage or for the joy of it, here are a few ways of preventing and dealing with greifers.

- "Don't feed the trolls" AKA ignor them they will go away to grief somone elts. - Dont give them a reason to grief, meaning

 - Be repectfull,
-The golden rule (Treat others how you want to be Treated), "what goes around comes around"
     - Dont grief others

- Discreetly notify a admin or OP. - Stay near a OP/Admin or stay in groups, it makes it harder for them to place the blame you.

The Text abouve could use some cleaning up/re-formating
