I appreciate the help Largeanvil 06:01, 16 January 2011 (UTC)largeanvil
also not sure if theres a talk section for articles but I liked your userpage on non-movable blocks and I think it might be valuable to put it as a section under the blocks page, with each of the non-movable blocks linking to that section Largeanvil 06:42, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Massive page move
Please discuss in the community portal before you move a bunch of pages. ): --Bumbletalk 19:35, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
You can't just perform such massive actions after less than two days of discussion! People barely got the chance to even object/agree with your proposal, and you're breaking a lot of stuff meanwhile, too! I'm reverting your changes and we'll continue discussing your proposal for another few days because this is just ridiculous.--Quatroking - MCWiki Administrator 19:39, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
On reflection, you're right — I should have waited for more discussion, and perhaps arranged for the question to be more visible. I thought it wasn't a big change, since there would be redirects, though. Could you explain what exactly was broken, so that I can avoid making technical mistakes in the future? I was reviewing the results of my changes, and I didn't notice any problems, and I was planning to fix any resulting double-redirects. —KPReid 21:24, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- Various block info templates rely on the title of certain articles, and renaming them causes them to break. Plus, like you said, some of the grids broke too.--Quatroking - MCWiki Administrator 21:34, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, stuff like switching on PAGENAME? So actually performing this change would require editing various template parameters all over. I see. Given that it's that hard, I no longer feel it's worth (my) doing this, as the small improvement in consistency isn't worth the work. I would still hope that article text, and new pages, use the exact official item names. —KPReid 21:38, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Block Property Index
I like the Block Property Index! --Adje 11:59, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Entity and Opacity
Thanks for keeping on good work on Entity and Opacity! It's quite tiring for me to collect the important information. Xfs 03:26, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Furnaces
Asterick6: I disagree with your approach to furnaces. The furnace has only one in-game name (both in the tooltip and the GUI) and that is “Furnace”, not “Kiln” or “Oven”. Minecraft is not a perfect subset of real life, and we don't need to make distinctions that Minecraft itself does not make. I don't care if we decide to replace “smelting” with “heating” across the wiki, since the game doesn't give a name to the process, but I think that there should be only *one* name for the process, because it works the same for everything it can be done to. —KPReid 23:06, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
- I've moved the discussion over to Furnace talk page so others can present their opinions on this. —–Preceding unsigned comment was added by Asterick6 (Talk|Contribs) 00:24, 18 November 2011. Please sign your posts with ~~~~
[edit] Stop changing it
Arrows set blocks on fire now Doggey 01:37, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
No, they don't. I tested it myself just now with the latest Minecraft, firing arrows from a dispenser, through lava, at wool. The arrows stick in the block and remain on fire, but the block itself is never set on fire or burned away. —KPReid 01:39, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks for reverting that unimplented features page
I was just about to add alot of citation needed tags because i didnt know what to do. At that point, i noticed you *stole* my edit. anyway, thanks! --Miauw62 17:05, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Didn't know where to ask this.
Does this wiki use UK English or US English? TheJanitor 13:06, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- I don't have the official word, but from what I've seen we choose US English on the grounds that the in-game text actually written by Mojang (as opposed to the community-source translations) is in US English. I wouldn't say that every single occurrence of non-US spelling is a abomination to be immediately stomped out, though. —kpreid 14:24, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- If you go to the community portal, it used to have a link to a discussion where the consensus was US English, but an admin removed it because it was resolved. I'll re-add that link there since obviously people still need to know about it even thought it was resolved (I think). - Asterick6 04:08, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Silk Touch and Glass
You appear to be correct - but it seems that it doesn't work on creative mode, which I was testing this on. How strange. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Sciguyryan (Talk|Contribs) 07:47, 29 March 2012. Please sign your posts with ~~~~
- In Creative mode, you just destroy blocks – they don't drop as items. Rather annoying when trying to test tool enchantments. -- Orthotope 07:55, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
