I hate having to use school computers cause my ip got blocked on another computer for a day so I didnt get to do nothing. :/. But it takes me forever to get home so i have too. This is not false information. It's just funny. They villagers will stare at the player until sunset, when the villagers go inside.User:ChucklesNuts

This is just common. All NPC's do this.Doggey 

If you are referring to before they got AI update? Villagers acted just like any other passive mob and would look at the player briefly them move on. Now they stare at the player. Probably to prepare for trading. That way when you get close to them they don't wander off when you ant to trade.User:ChucklesNuts

If it isn't on your keyboard layout by default, try altgr(right alt on my computer, not sure about Windows)+broken pipe. Otherwise it can be copy pasted, or entered manually. On windows this is right alt+ the ANSI code for it, the unbroken pipe's being 0124.On Linux GTK+ based software, such as GNOME, control+shift+U+the Unicode hex value is used, in this case 007C.
