People use the word 'materials' to refer to items mainly. Where one person may be referring to coal, bones, dyes or clay as 'material', another person may be referring to string, meat, arrows, flint, gunpowder or bricks as 'material'. Due to the fact that 'Material' is used in such a generic way, some of the things that may be being referred to are linked to below.
