The HUD and all its parts.
All the bars existing in the game, the health bar, the armor bar, the oxygen bar, the hunger bar and the experience bar.
The HUD (with original armor bar position) as it appeared before the Adventure Update.

The heads-up display or HUD appears on screen while the Player is in the game. It is superimposed on his or her view of the game world.

The HUD consists of the user's health bar, hunger bar, experience bar, and the hot bar, as well as a cross-hair that pinpoints where he or she is looking. The armor condition bar appears above the health bar if the player is wearing armor. The oxygen bar will display above the hunger bar if the player is underwater. When the player switches an item in hand by mouse wheel or 1 - 9, its name is shown on the experience level shortly. Also, in multiplayer, chat is part of the HUD, in the bottom left corner, showing the last few things spoken. This can be expanded with T. The HUD also contains, if applicable, the unlicensed copy note. In the Options menu, GUI scale changes the size of the HUD and GUI between "large", "normal" and "small". Small is only recommended for large or low-resolution screens. There is also an "auto" setting, which will change the size of the HUD and GUI depending on the size of the game window. The "auto" setting is the default.

Players can hide the HUD, the darkness added in Fancy, and the dark lining around the block you are aiming at by pressing the F1 key on their keyboards (and pressing F1 again to show it). A less detailed Debug screen can be added to the HUD by pressing F3, A detailed Debug screen can be added to the HUD by pressing ⇧ Shift+F3, which shows details but fills up the HUD. On Mac, all three commands require you to hold fn first. In creative mode, most of the HUD's icons are hidden.

All elements of the HUD can be changed with texture packs.

You cannot hide the HUD in the Pocket Edition, but you can in the Xbox 360 Edition.
