Game Modes

Only Creative and an early test of Survival mode are available to all players; indev is currently available for those who have bought the game. In the future, there will be multiple other modes and expansion packs.

  • Creative - A create mode.
  • Survival - Survive against the elements and roaming NPCs. The current version is an early example, but indev is continually updated with new features.

[edit] Planned game modes

  • Zombie Siege - In it, you are to build shelter during the day, and hide against the zombies at night.[1]
  • Capture the Flag - Teams attempt to capture each others' flags.[2]
  • Dungeons and Levers - A mode similar to Survival. It is more combat-based, and Notch has said it will contain new mobs, weapons and puzzles.
