These features only exist in older, outdated versions of Minecraft.
Decoration Blocks appear as two identical 2D sprites intersecting perpendicularly. The varieties of decoration in Classic are saplings, flowers, and mushrooms. These are not to be confused with saplings, flowers and mushrooms which serve a purpose in later versions of Minecraft.
 Mushrooms (Red and Brown)
In Classic, Brown and Red mushrooms were found in caves in groups of 7+. If a mushroom was exposed directly to sunlight the mushroom would disappear after a few seconds, mushrooms will only stay if they are not in direct sunlight. Due to a line of brown mushrooms having a small resemblance to rope, brown mushrooms are commonly used to act as "rope", this rope can sometimes be used for peoples draw bridges if they have made a castle with a moat.
In Classic, there is only one type of sapling, this sapling has a similar texture to the oak sapling texture. If the sapling is exposed directly to the sunlight after a short while the sapling would instantly grow into a tree, the tree that is grown is always a small tree which is usually 3-5 wooden log blocks tall.
 Flowers (Red and Yellow)
Flowers were found in groups of 13-30 scattered around the terrain in classic. Flowers can be placed in both direct sunlight and in shade but flowers are only naturally generated in sunlight. Flowers can only be placed on dirt and grass..
 Decorations and liquids
Saplings, flowers and mushrooms can all be used as decorations but they also serve another purpose which is commonly seen on classic lava survival servers. These decorations also stop liquids from flowing which makes as a very useful material to make doors in lava survival and even doors in normal vanilla classic.
