MCGreen is a Classic Minecraft server based on the open source MCLawl server.

It's development began with the need for more abusive players in the console. This lead to an overhaul of the GUI, while leaving most of the core untouched.

Over the course of a month MCGreen has been shaped and molded to greater fit BunnyMines' needs, but is open to suggestions as BunnyMines loves to hear feedback and suggestions.

[edit] Features

MCGreen features a variety of changes to its UI (and a few to the core) from source development, some of these features include:

  • NEW! Online API allows web developers to take their server to the web!
  • An upgraded player table on the main page including rank, level, afk status, and IP
  • An extended player table ("Players ext." tab) with things like # of kicks, times joined, etc.
  • Number of connected players visible on any page of the server
  • Multi level chat system
  • Kick all button (called "Purge clients")
  • Mass promote/demote button
  • Right click menu with a multitude of options such as kick, kickban, ban, banip, promote/demote, and several others
  • A rule agreement system (useRuleRule) (can be disabled) requires players to read the rules before building
  • Numerous other features small and large!

The rest of the changes are simply UI changes that give more control and information to the console.

[edit] Ranks

[edit] Default Ranks

By default MCGreen contains a hand full of ranks that can be used.

  • Banned (Permission -20)
  • Guest (Permission 0)
  • Builder (Permission 30)
  • AdvBuilder (Permission 50)
  • Operator (Permission 80)
  • SuperOp (Permission 100)
  • Nobody (Permission 120)

[edit] Other Ranks

Other ranks can be created at any time and given any permission less than 120. This allows for a wide range of flexibility for the owners and their players. This also allows owners to set up levels that require prestige and showcase their greatest builders while keeping griefers from terrorizing the locals and regulars.

[edit] Commands

There are too many commands to list! At this current stage in development the command list is the same as MCLawl with the exception of /rules and /agree

  • /rules - Now upon reading the rules players are recognized to have read them.
  • /agree - Attributes agreement of the /rules to a player allowing them to build (If enabled).

[edit] Blocks

There are also too many blocks to list! These are also the same as MCLawl's.

[edit] Development Contribution

[edit] The Team

Currently the only acting developer is BunnyMines!

[edit] The Original Devs

MCGreen is derived from MCSharp and MCLawl. All credit for original content goes directly to them, and BunnyMines thanks them greatly for making their code available for use.

[edit] The Community

The community is a very big part of the MCGreen development process. The wonderful community at Free Build With BunnyMines has been constantly active on the new in development server allowing BunnyMines to actively test new aspects in real time! Thanks a ton you guys!
