Custom Clients

Custom clients give the ability to access features that the normal Minecraft client cannot access. Many clients aren't used for good and are used for griefing These clients have a specific name "Griefing Clients" which is pretty suitable.

Griefing clients take the the advantage to skip through Minecraft abilities and use them for griefing. The common hacks are listed below.

Common client "hacks" include:

• Flying: Not necessarily used just for griefing, this hack gives the user the ability to fly similar to as if they were in Creative mode at adjustable speed levels.
• ""CaveFinder"": allows the user to find hidden tunnels and other things underground. Functions much like the x-ray.
• X-ray: Stops the rendering of any block besides ones desirable to the griefer. This hack is often used to find chests or valuable minerals such as diamond.
• FullBright: This hack lights up all blocks as if they were in direct sunlight, even in pitch darkness.
• NoFall: This hack prevents damage from being taken when falling from high areas.
• Sneak: This allows griefers to sneak indefinitely and move at a faster pace. This will keep their nameplates hidden behind walls just as if they were holding the sneak button.
• Speed Breaking or InstaMine or FastBreak: This allows for griefers to break blocks at a much faster speed than normal.
• Aura or Forcefield: This auto attacks anything from players to mobs within striking range. Also leaves up the block function on the sword for an indefinite amount of time, and lets the player move at an almost normal pace.
• ""Chestfinder"": All chests on the server are highlighted in green and can be found no matter what protection, including those in dungeons.
• Nuker or Annihilator: This destroys all blocks within reach radius automatically. The standard radius is about 50 blocks, or one chunk. Also available are "Cnuker" and "Clicknuker" nukes that can destroy much more efficiently through creative mode.
• God: This makes the user invincible. Almost all versions of this hack have been patched.
• Step: This modification allows for the user to simply walk up blocks and small cliffs (up to 9 blocks high) as if they were half steps.
• Build: Build hacks are simply modifications that instantly place blocks in a predetermined pattern. Common builds include cubes, pillars, and platforms, as well as undesirable pixel art, such as nude or swatchtika's
• FastPlace: This modification eliminates the normal delay when placing blocks.
• Freecam: This mod allows the user to separate himself from his body and fly around to scout out areas. Since infinite reach was patched, the user of this mod cannot affect any blocks outside his/her reach radius. This has been fixed in some custom clients and can still be operated.
• Spam or Flood: This allows the client to send a huge number of chat messages to the server.
• WallHack: This gives players the ability to see entities through walls, making it so they can find animals, and players easily.
• Sprint: Makes the player sprint at all times without getting tired.
• ""Fullbright"": Makes everything in full brightness, even if in the dead of night or in an underground cave.
• Aimbot: Points your camera directly at a mob or player. When used with Aura or Forcefield it gives the ability to hit and aim at the same time without a sweat. Also can be used to increase the hitbox area, which is where the player can be hit, thus increasing the accuracy of a bow or other objext.
• ""Highjump"": lets the player jump extremely high in the air: paired with the "Nofall" function this can let the player travel great distances.

Some extremely advanced hacking systems can spam the server into thinking that the player placed an item that he/she did not actually have in their inventory, thus spawning blocks and un-placeable items. Many of these hacking abilities cannot be detected because they do not directly affect the player, such as X-Ray, Fullbright, Chestfinder, and Cavefinder, to name just a few.
