- Main article: Tutorials/Cocoa Bean farming
The player is able to plant Cocoa Beans on the side of Jungle tree logs. The Cocoa has three stages of growth. During its first, the pod is small and green. In the second stage, the plant is bigger and colored tan. In its last stage, the pod is even bigger and orange. When destroyed in the first two stages, the pod will yield only one Cocoa Bean. When destroyed in the third stage, it will give two or three Cocoa Beans. Bone meal can be used to immediately mature the Cocoa Pod forward 1 stage of growth. Cocoa Beans will become harvested when pushed by a piston. Cocoa Beans can also be harvested by water for efficient farming. Also, if there is a Cocoa bean smaller than the Cocoa bean below it, you are able to climb it by jumping on top of it.
