Adventure

Adventure Mode, formerly Dungeons and Levers, is an upcoming gamemode.^[1] Adventure Mode may include permadeath like Hardcore mode, making it rogue-like in nature.^[2]

The "Adventure Update" spanned updates Beta 1.8 - Minecraft 1.0 and was meant to be an update to "flesh out" the game. Adventure Mode should not be confused with the "Adventure Update". This mode has not been released yet, and it is unknown when it will take effect.

The main reason for this game mode is so people can properly play adventure maps or mazes legitimately without the ability to break blocks to cheat. This will also be a game mode in multiplayer servers so certain players can be assigned it or for use with multiplayer adventure worlds ^[1]There is a External program called Adventure Craft with all the following features.

• It will have programmable maps, buttons, pressure plates and levers^[1]
• Blocks cannot be placed or destroyed unless activated in the game by the moderator ( Multiplayer ) ^[1]
• Adventure Mode will most likely work in Multiplayer.
• There could be some options to tweak what blocks will be able to be placed and destroyed.
• Adventure maps in Survival and Creative might be able to convert to Adventure Mode.^{[citation needed]}
• Mods will be disabled
• Mobs will be in Hard Mode
